Since work is worship, it is but natural that KC College has been my altar of worship since the past many years. It is indeed a great honour to lead this college and I accept it with great humility. The foundation that was laid and nurtured by our Founder-Principal, Vidyasagar Late Prof.K.M Kundnani has been built into a great academic institution by those after him like Prof J.K Bhambhani, Mrs N.A.Bathija, Mrs N.H.Karamchandani and Dr Manjula Nichani. I am fortunate to have had the guiding light of such stalwarts and they inspire me to take this institution forward to touch greater heights.
I look forward to the beginning of a new academic year as I envision K.C. students enjoying a platform that will help them explore their own unique potential. Here at K.C. we respect, celebrate and nurture our individual differences, as it is only through the careful cultivation of these differences that we can achieve the progress of each student and eventually the institution.
With technology at our fingertips, K.C. too is ready for ‘Digitisation.’ To digitise is to convert data into electronic format. We are moving towards digitization which means increased efficiency and less paper. The need of the hour is a student who is not only technology savvy but also socially and environmentally conscious. We are focused on nurturing students who are eager and enthusiastic about making the world a better place, whether it means helping to uplift certain sections of society or cleaning up our planet.
Theodore Roosevelt said, ‘Believe you can and you're halfway there.’ Here at KC we nurture your self confidence and hone it to perfection. To achieve this, change is the only vehicle and it is my belief that it is ‘you’ dear students, the young fresh minds, full of new and innovative ideas that will help bring in this change.
If any institution is expected to thrive, it can only do so, through the maintenance of certain rules and regulations. Here too, we believe that inculcating some order through consistent attendance and mandatory ID card will go a long way in upholding the discipline that K.C. has been known for, thereby also guaranteeing the security of each student.
My vision is to make every student of KC, employable and industry ready. This would be done by supplementing our course with certificate courses and skill enhancement programs. The cultural, co-curricular and extracurricular activities would be also nurtured as they lead to overall development of students. I believe in open and transparent administration with valuable feedback from all our stakeholders.
The time you spend in this institution will mould you into a K.C-ite, someone, I assure, you will be proud of. Think of this institution as your home and develop a bond with the institution that will shape you for the next 5 years of your life.
"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future”.
Let us all be partners in this building process. The Teachers and Non-teaching staff join me in pledging to cherish and support each one of our students and make our college a centre not just for knowledge and values, but also for inculcation of cutting-edge technology and implementation of innovative ideas. Let us all create an environment full of youthful zeal and zest for life.
I wish you all the best. Together, let us make 2017-18, a year of Learning, Change and Growth.
