The committee started the year by recruiting new members of the Organizing Committee who were interviewed to ascertain their capabilities, followed by mega open stage auditions for various events like singing and instrumentals, acting, beat-boxing and dancing. The selected students were chosen to represent K.C. for the upcoming annual intra and inter collegiate events. K.C. battled with the best of colleges and shone in various events obtaining a runners-up trophy for N.M College’s festival - Umang and the annual festival of Sophia College - Kaleidoscope.
In the first week of August, S.Co.P.E. organized a Freshers’ Party especially for the B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. students. On 11th August, the committee revealed the theme for Kiran 2015 – Get Unconventional, during the Curtain Raiser. In association with Hindustan Times, S.Co.P.E. also organized a fun-filled entertaining event for the Teaching fraternity on account of Teachers’ Day.
S.Co.P.E. handled the Bombay Times Fresh Face event judged by popular actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. It was a proud moment for the college when our students Mr. Moksh Mehra & Miss Jamila Khan were declared the Winner and 2nd runner-up in the prestigious Bombay Times Fresh Face Contest, Mumbai level respectively. Later in the National Level too, Mr. Moksh Mehra bagged the Runner- Up title. The Talent Hunt organized by Radio Mirchi also witnessed a plethora of K.C. Talent.
Kiran 2015, organized by S.Co.P.E. was an inter-departmental extravaganza where it was ensured that every student of the college was affiliated with the event. The B.Sc. (Team White), were declared as the deserving Winners of Kiran 2014- 2015. The National Institute of Event Management awarded Ms. Vindhya Barwal, Ms. Safwana Khalid and Mr. Tushar Gahine with the Event Managers of the Year Award for their contribution towards Kiran 2015. The Cultural Team had put up a Grand Cultural Show and won accolades for their performance during the Annual Prize Distribution, Inauguration of the National Basketball Tournament and the programme conducted by the Hiranandani Foundation.
