Health Care Committee

Health Care Committee of K. C. College had organized Free Health Check-up Camp on 1st September, 2015 in the Sports Room from 10.00am to 1.30pm. This camp was beneficial to 100 staff members. The following medical investigations for teaching and non-teaching staff members had been done: Thyroid test- T3, T4, TSH; Body fat monitoring; BMD; Diabetes and Peripheral Neuropathy; Blood Pressure; Hemoglobin; Eye- check up and Dental checkup.

“Skinfie Camp”

A programme on skin care and selfgrooming had been organized for students and staff, on 21st December, 2015 in order to address the common concerns of today’s youth regarding skin problems such as acne, pores, suntan / darkening skin, dry/oily skin, pigmentation / patchy skin and rashes. Hence our objective is to educate students about skin care and create awareness through offering information and education to the students on being responsible about their skin and thereby about themselves. This initiative will empower the attendees to manage their skin problems better and ultimately enable them to feel more confident and take pride in themselves.There was a two-hour talk given by a doctor followed by a skin checkup by Glaxo Smith. They had also provided free samples for skin care.

An Informative & Interactive Programme on Women’s Well-Being

We had conducted an Informative and Interactive Programme on women’s well-being to impart scientifically correct information and knowledge regarding the health, safety and overall well-being of young girl-students. Following topics were addressed by Dr. Kunjal Bhatija: PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Anaemia, Endometriosis, Menstrual Health & Hygiene, Breast Screening, Importance of Calcium and Infertility – caused due to various reasons. This informative and interactive programme ended with a Q-A session.
